Future You has launched a fresh suite of free, curriculum-aligned numeracy resources designed to help students see how mathematics connects to everyday, real-world activities and future careers.
Linked to our Pathfinders — real life role models who are using STEM to make the world a better place — these resources show students how everyday maths — like measurements, timing, and scaling recipes — is essential in the kitchen and beyond.
Our resources are grounded in evidence that suggests that students build greater mathematical confidence and literacy when educators draw links between the real world and the mathematical world1. Our resources are designed to do just that by highlighting how maths can be used to make everyday tasks, such as converting measurements or working out when a cake will need to come out of the oven, easier.
Using our curriculum-aligned activities, perfect for Years 3-7, is a fun and socially relevant way to build students mathematical skill and confidence. We hope that you enjoy exploring them!
